Early morning fun – Winchester, MA

Isn’t it funny how when we have children, especially those who have early risers, scheduling something for 7:30am on a Saturday doesn’t sound completely insane? Kids, generally speaking, are typically in good spirits in the mornings AND the light can be really pretty. This morning proved good on both points. These three kiddos seemed to have a blast playing in their backyard – climbing, running, and throwing leaves. And, oh, did I forget to mention all of the photo bombing that occurred by handsome T? Check out the last set of images here for a good, healthy chuckle. All of this fun in the cold, brisk air clearly called for cups of hot chocolate to warm up. Jessica and Rich, thanks so much for a fun morning to kick off the day!

Two sweet peas – Winchester, MA

Sweet peas. That’s all I kept thinking about the morning I spent with this darling family. These two little gals just melted my heart. Older sister E was chatty and seemed eager to show me around. She had a magical box of dress-up clothes, complete with clip-on earrings that seemed to fit Daddy just right. And then there was baby C. I can’t say that I’ve seen a baby this smiley before! She was totally on board with whatever we were doing (except for when her sister was hugging too tightly!). Their little dog, Jax, seemed to enjoy all of the activity and joined in whenever he could. Jessica and Rich were like a well-oiled machine, seamlessly transitioning from one thing to the next with their two little ones. Thanks for a fun morning, guys!

A chill morning – Needham, MA

He knew exactly where he wanted to go first at this familiar nearby park. It had an amazing, rainbow-colored house to play in. It made me wish to be a kid again. Then we sneaked off to a little woodsy corner where we had fun with the leaves just before it started to rain. Home we went to get warm, where little D got to snuggle in for one of his favorite books. He then made his way over to his Legos and cars where, unbeknownst to me, everything was getting “stuck in the mud!” Complete with sound effects, D was able to pull all vehicles safely out of their sticky situation; it seemed like he could have played this game all day! What a cozy, relaxing little morning with your lovely family, Lara and James!

Milling around – Sudbury, MA

This little boy seemed like he could have stayed here all day. He loved everything about this place as if it were magical. He loved the mill, he loved the the leaves, he loved dropping the leaves into the water and watching them float away – again and again. He could not have been any cuter while he explored this picturesque location. Rebecca and Owen seemed equally happy watching him and his little independent personality roam about. And Little H will become a big brother next year! So excited for this darling little family. Thanks for a wonderful little shoot; I had such fun watching his expressions as he took it all in.

Cuteness overload – Canton, MA

Adorable A made her way into the world with a head of hair to envy a little less than two months ago. Big, alert eyes darted around for a bit and then she did something I’ve never seen a baby do before. We had her laying down in her crib for a few shots and then, she slowly closed her eyes, and fell asleep. Yup, right then and there, no swaddling, no bouncing, no singing, or shushing. To me, this was unreal because my two little ones required ALL of those things to fall asleep.

Big sister, L, seemed excited to be taking on her new role, and was happy that they were both wearing her favorite color, purple. This excitement seemed to end when it was time to take a photo of the two sisters together. But, with a little coaxing, she showed her true feelings for her sister and then couldn’t seem to get enough snuggles with her. Big sister also seemed unphased when the baby decided that she had had enough. Check out one of the final images here.

Thanks, Athena and Greg, for sharing your newest little one and for all your patience as we worked around the terrible weather we had! Sending wishes for lots of snuggles for all four of you.
