He didn’t seem to want to settle much at first, and had the cutest sneezing fit I’ve ever seen, but eventually little E dozed off and curled up, making expressions in his sleep as if he were dreaming of gumdrops. In the meantime, big sister, C, was getting used to her new title and helped out with diaper changing duties. She was proud to show me where her room was, where her new baby brother’s room was, and then she showed me how she is the teacher of her very own stuffed animal school. She was quick to point out who was the best student (who was learning how to be quiet) and who had given her the most trouble (the one who kept wanting to dunk her head in water). Something tells me, little E, that your big sister will be keeping tabs on you on the road ahead.
