Family portrait session (Lindsay, Derek, Z, E, & A) – Newton, MA

They way they look out for her, the way they hold her hand, the way they seem to adore her every move – these are the siblings you want when you’re the youngest. It warms my heart from the inside. These connections, these little signs of affection and care, are nurtured every day by their awesome parents and you can just tell that these three will be tight for the long haul even though their roles right now are quite different. Big brother is leading the charge, middle sister is trying to keep up with him (and all of his climbing the walls acrobatics), and the littlest one is forging her own path along the way.

Lindsay and Derek, thank you for sharing your sweet kids with my lens. What an awesome crew!

Newborn session (Ashley, Stefan, and the three Ws) – Wakefield, MA

I can still remember meeting Ashley and Stefan back in the fall of 2015. They were expecting their first baby and super excited about lay ahead, trying hard to imagine what life would be like with a baby. Fast forward to today where they are now experts at life with babies. Even though they are pros, their third baby boy arrived with as much excitement as their first and second. And now they are working more on a zone defense (vs. man to man). The oldest was trying to get away with a sneaky little snack, the middle child was trying to sneak in some extra hugs and kisses for his baby brother, and the baby was soaking it all in.

Ashley and Stefan, what a joy it has been to watch your family grow! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture all of the love, giggles, cries, chaos, and snuggles!

Newborn session (Inga, Jeff, N, L, & K) – Salem, MA

She is surrounded by love – her parents, her brothers, and her grandparents (one set who is visiting all the way from Germany). You can see it on their smiles as they look at her. You can feel it in the way they hold her. You can sense it in the way they ooh and ahh over her tiny hands. Such tiny hands.

Jeff and Inga, congratulations again on your absolutely stunning baby girl. Breathe it all in. Before you know it, she’ll be running around, trying to keep up with those two handsome boys of yours!

Family portrait session (Diandra, Patrick, J, & E) – Wakefield, MA

Have you ever seen a kid fight a smile? Like, they don’t *want* to smile, but their cheeks go up and then they try really hard to keep their mouth from following suit and doing that thing – you know, smiling. Case in point, sweet little J. Even though she may have thought something was funny on this particular morning, she was definitely not going to let on that she thought so. Ultimately, it was her dad who cracked the code to letting her face reveal just how much fun she was having. The first time he tried it, he intentionally fell over backwards over a log. She *sorta* thought it was funny. It took the real deal of a misstep (falling into a giant hole left by an upturned tree stump) to get her to show off her brilliant smile. Her little sister, on the other hand, seemed a little more interested in running around and keeping her parents on their toes.

Diandra and Patrick, what sweet little girls you have! Thank you so much for sharing your morning with me.

Family portrait session (Tracy, Dean, A, D, & L) – Charlestown, MA

Nothing says, “I’m growing up” quite as loudly as when you go to put them in the pair of pants they wore just the other day and you see that they now look like clam-diggers. So when the mom rushes into the garage, into a seemingly hidden closet, and whips out a pair of jeans the next size up, fitting him perfectly – you applaud. Loudly. Brava mama.

These three kiddos are full of energy, fun, curiosity, and love. Head to toe love! Thanks so much Tracy and Dean for the stroll through your ‘hood with your babies. (They will always be your babies, no matter how big they get.)
