Family portrait session (Diana, Seth, & H) – Wellesley, MA

Sticks, swings, bubbles, and kisses for this kiddo who is keeping his loving parents on their toes! At a little over a year old, he’s found his walking legs and seems to really enjoy picking up all sorts of treasures, from sticks to acorns (but only particular acorns), and couldn’t quite make up his mind if he wanted to ride in the wagon, walk on his own, or be carried by one of his parents. What a fun little walk in the park with this trio!

Diana and Seth, congrats on making it through the first year. So much change, so little sleep, but oh-so-much love!

Family portrait session (Becky, Joe, B, & C) – North Reading, MA

Have you ever had one of those days where you just feel like your shoes are wrong, the shirt is all wrong, and the “buckles” (a.k.a. buttons) on the shirt are *definitely* all wrong? Yup. Been there. And so it went for this little guy. The big, little guy (a.k.a. big brother) that is. He wasn’t quite feeling the plaid or buttoned up look, BUT he was feeling like running. Fortunately for him, he has the cutest run ever, elbows pumping furiously while his legs stepped with intentionality every single time. His little brother? He was chill with *everything* – I mean, he basically took a 3-minute snooze while enjoying a little refreshment from his bottle, promptly bouncing back to his happy, chill self immediately afterward.

Becky and Joe, thanks so much for hanging in there when the buckles were all wrong!

Family portrait session (Callie, A, & W) – Charlestown, MA

Baby W was just waking up from an early morning nap when I arrived. Once the cobwebs were wiped away, we headed out to the playground with big sister cruising along like a pro-scooter rider if there ever was such a thing. We made a bee-line for the swings and man, I don’t think I’ve seen two sisters have this much fun on swings before. It seemed they could stay there for hours, but we decided to head out. As we headed home, the pro-scooter rider was *sure* she couldn’t ride her scooter uphill. Except, after a bit of dramatization, she was doing it AS she was saying she couldn’t, as her sweet mama gracefully allowed her the space to figure it out.

Callie, thanks so much for bidding on this auction item! So lovely to meet the girls in the family. I hope your husband’s bike race went well!

Extended family session – Gloucester, MA

It was clear from the start that these cousins spend lots of time together and when they do, they thoroughly enjoy each other. There was silliness and laughter, piggy back rides, lifeguard tower climbing, a fair share of hugging, and running – lots of running! The kiddos convinced all of the adults to run a race together and then they even did a giant race with everyone, including their awesome grandmother! This session was fulfilling the promised birthday gift to Grammy for photos of the whole crew and boy, did they end up with a gorgeous night and amazing smiles!

Thanks so much, Kristen and family, for all of the fun on the beach. Grammy, what a beautiful family you have – so much love.

Mini-documentary session – York, ME

If the walls of this house could talk, it would speak of the two little girls who grew up there, their shared memories of running on the expansive lawn, the family gatherings, the original low ceiling in the kitchen, the beautiful piano music that echoed through the halls, the renovations that it endured, the families of birds that were lovingly fed by the multiple feeders outside, the abundance of flowers that have been nurtured over the years, and the two parents who cared so well for the house and those that resided within it. Before they close the door on this house (it’s on the market!), they wanted to capture some memories of a morning there with the whole family. Then, to add in some more fun, we went to the older daughter’s house just one street away where all the cousins were able to entertain themselves with whatever they could find for fun: pick blueberries, swing on the swings, mountain bike on a custom-made trail, explore the log cabin fort, and oh yeah, play in the pool, too!

While this family is closing the chapter on their time in this amazing house, their adventures carry on. Marty and Bill, congratulations on a job well done of taking such good care of this well-loved, well-lived-in home. And even more than that, congrats on such an amazing, happy, and beautiful family.
