The air is cool and crisp, the early morning grass is wet with dew and speckled with bright red leaves, and the vendors are setting up shop for the farmers market. These girls, armed with lollipops, curls galore, and sensitive souls, are a delight to see. They climb trees, run with their wet-toed-boots, and make a “flying hot dog” pose on top of a little pillar that makes me laugh out loud. I realize how cliche it may all sound, but I cannot believe how fast these peanuts have grown. Take a look at four years ago when I first met them. Their eyes still sparkle when they look at their parents and their cycle of sister silliness/affection/annoyance with each other is in full force.
Jess and Rich, I absolutely love seeing you and your girls each year. Thank you for sharing your sweet treasures with me!
