E’s senior portraits – North Shore Area, MA

How can she be so elegant and poised at such a young age? It was a true pleasure meeting lovely E along with her support team (her sweet mom and older sister). She has her senior year ahead of her and after that, so much opportunity. For now, she’s hunkering down with 5 AP courses and a whole host of extracurricular activities. With all of those responsibilities on her shoulders, the value of a fun shoe is not lost on her. She was ever so excited about these shoes so we just had to have a little fun along the way. We found all sorts of great spots on location at her family home which makes these portraits carry even more meaning in the years to come.

Wishing you a world of success your final year of high school and beyond, E! Thanks to you and your mom for the chance to photograph you for such a special milestone.

Family portrait session (Jennifer, Bo, & S) – Gloucester, MA

Goodness gracious, folks. On top of being super sweet and lovely, this family is gorgeous. Like magazine-cover gorgeous. Check out the long eyelashes and flowing locks on little miss (they happen to match her mama’s lovely locks and lashes). She was so excited to be at the beach, skipping, literally skipping, her way around the tide pools and rocks. What fun we had burying the seaweed, finding seashells, and climbing the giant boulders! And what little kid doesn’t love to be tossed up in the air by their daddy? We also managed to squeeze in a few shots with their furry “first born” who was equally excited to be at the beach. But you see what I mean, right? We’re talking about that photo you see in the frames that you buy at the store. Agreed? (By the way, Jennifer gets her great skin from Rodan+Fields – for which she’s a super successful consultant so check it out if you’re interested!)

Jennifer and Bo, I’m so glad that you won the auction for this session during our little neighborhood school fundraiser. Thank you for bidding on it and for a great session at the beach!

Family portrait session (Cerissa, Gary, O, & J) – Brookline, MA

What a beautiful night for a bit of sisterhood fun! This lovely family won a session at the Apple Orchard School in Brookline. We were able to take advantage of this beautiful park with beautiful light and beautiful girls. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the little attitude that the little sister was sporting during parts of our time together. We managed to get some genuine smiles with so much silliness that she just couldn’t help herself. And the back and forth yo-yo of I-love-you/I-am-not-so-fond-of-you-right-now between sisters was very familiar to me having grown up with three sisters of my own.

Cerissa and Gary, thanks so much for taking the chance on the donated session at the fundraiser! So nice to meet you all. Wishing you a successful and fun school year ahead!

Family portrait session (Andrea, Charlie, R, & N) – Winchester, MA

What a perfectly lovely evening to be out at the local farm with these two grinning gals and their parents! When I first met this family, the littlest one was just turning one and wasn’t quite able to walk. Fast forward a year and the two girls are running and giggling together, checking out the chickens and the corn stalks (we made sure to steer clear of the wild coyote that a fellow farm-visitor pointed out!). The pure joy on their faces having spotted a butterfly was enough to make my heart sing. And I don’t think I will ever forget the little teacher/student session they had at the end where R was just instructing N what to do and N was complying happily. Having three sisters of my own and having two little girls, I admittedly have a soft spot for sisters. I see lots of silliness, joy, and heart-to-hearts in your future, sweet girls.

Andrea and Charlie, thanks so much for calling on me to photograph your adorable family! It is so wonderfully bittersweet to see how much the girls have grown.

Family portrait session (Corinne, Kevin, L, & C) – Charlestown, MA

One of the best parts of donating a session is being able to meet a new family to photograph. Corinne & Kevin were the winning bidders on a portrait session at the Charlestown Nursery School fundraiser. Their two adorable girls seemed to love hanging out at the monument together. It was a hot evening even as the sun was beginning to set but we enjoyed the shade a bit and took advantage of the clear blue sky. Big sister loved jumping down the stairs one by one; little sister liked to sport her 1-year-old independence and tried to keep up despite her parents’ pleas to refrain from following her big sister’s steps.

What a fun little session, Corinne and Kevin! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer together.
