Family portrait session – Lincoln, MA

It’s wild to think back to when I first met this awesome family about 8 years ago. They had twin boys who were curious toddlers, running around and exploring as much as they could. Fast forward to today and they are just as curious but about twice as tall as they were back then! The number of children has also doubled as they now have two girls as well, the youngest of whom reminds me of how the twins were when they were toddlers. I’ve had the privilege of photographing them periodically throughout the years and one thing is for certain – while the children all get older, the parents seem to not have aged at all! I don’t know how they do it but take a look back to almost three years ago when their youngest was born and tell me I’m wrong.

T + E, thanks so, so much for continuing to trust me to capture your crew and freeze the speeding time for you for just a minute. Long days, short years – yes?

Family portrait session (Michelle, Nathan, & M) – Somerville, MA

When little M started calling me “Grandpa” I have to admit, I was a little taken aback! But then her gracious parents explained that she had just come back from a trip where her grandfather had taken some photos of her while she was there. And who could blame him? With her independent spirit (this girl definitely knows where she wants to go and where she doesn’t want to go), her beautiful curls, and her toothy grin, she’s hard to pass up when you have a camera in hand. She was enthralled with any dog who crossed our path, curious about the bubbles mom created, and in love with the flowers her dad found for her.

Michelle and Nathan, thanks so much for sharing your morning with me! I loved seeing how much the adorable baby from last year has grown and how her spunky personality is shining through.

Extended family portrait session – Ogunquit, ME

This crew! When Kristan said it was time to photograph her and her family again along with Adam’s side of the family, I was ecstatic. They all seem to have so much fun together, especially when they are at their favorite summer vacation spot in Maine. One little guy seemed a *little* less excited than I was, but we got him to come around, at least for a little while. Lollipops solve anything – well, almost anything.

Kristan, Adam, and crew – thanks so much for another opportunity to photograph you all as the kids (not the adults) grow older. I love seeing you all together!

Newborn session (Megan, Brad, B, B, & H) – Winchester, MA

Words cannot describe the happiness that exists in this family with the arrival of baby H! With two big, adoring sisters and two of the most dedicated parents I know, he’s one lucky little guy. He slept through most of this session, being passed around from person to person and spot to spot, kissed and smooched, snuggled and squeezed.

Megan and Brad, congratulations on adding to your beautiful family! I cannot wait to get to know you, little H.

Family portrait session (Miriam, Jon, & G) – Brookline, MA

Oh my cuteness, Batman! Little G was the highlight on the field, even given the glorious weather and bright blue skies. He has a look that says, “Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” Trying to take in the vastness of the field and oh-the-places-he-could-go, he ran from one end to the next, stopping every once in a while to turn and check in with his parents who were never too far away. It’s crystal clear that this little one is cherished by his loving parents, as he should be. I mean, who looks THIS cute while trying to eat…ahem, I mean, blow bubbles?

Thanks so much Miriam and Jon for sharing your evening and your adorable son with me!
