Family portrait session (Maggie, Victor, R, & M) – Winchester, MA

Big brother tried really hard to teach me a couple of numbers in Russian, but I’ve never been very good at foreign languages. He seemed to enjoy being the teacher for a minute, though! We got to hang out with his mom for a bit before his dad arrived with his little sister who had enjoyed a little longer of a nap than usual that day. Sweet M was still a bit sleepy and it seemed that she wanted a snack; it so happened that mom had two apples there on hand (because once one kid wants a snack, the other will follow suit). Each of them chomped and snacked on delicious-looking apples. As it turns out, they are pretty cute when they chomp and snack on apples! And they even give each other apple-y kisses.

Thanks so much, Maggie and Victor, for letting me get a glimpse of these two gorgeous kiddos again!

Extended family portrait session – Winchester, MA

Oh my beautiful, dramatic light. This day had it all, including rain, sun, and hail, but during our session, the clouds parted just enough to offer some of the most magical light and just a few artistic drops of rain. They all enjoyed exploring the farm – the goats and the chickens, all while tossing around a football. The 3 boys all walked away with proof of said enjoyment: dirt and grass stains on their knees.

Thanks so much to all of you for believing the weather would hold out. It was so wonderful to see you again with those 3 cute boys in tow and new puppy to boot!

Family portrait session (Chris, Jen, G, & S) – Wakefield, MA

Man, sometimes I think weather forecasters have a no-fault job – they can get the weather wrong and they still hang on to their jobs! The morning of this shoot, the weather was supposed to be warm-ish and dry. Instead we got super-cloudy, drizzly, cold, and windy. We tried as best we could to let the rain pass and have fun down at the lake, but the wind and cold temperatures made it pretty tricky to not feel frozen in place. So, we moved our session inside and tried to warm up the girls as they took advantage of being cozy on their couch. Chris even started a little fire in the outdoor fire pit to see if he could lure the girls outside. It worked for one of them!

Chris and Jen, thanks so much for making the best of a forecast-gone-wrong morning!

Family portrait session (Kerri, Bob, A, L, & J) – North Reading, MA

These three monkeys are so sweet and fun! Even the little guy, who had croup, seemed to have fun at the park. We did our best to take in the last bit of color from the season, checked out the pond, and looked for ducks and geese (who may have already flown south for the winter). Dad was able to hold two at once, which is a feat that may have a short remaining lifespan given that kids don’t seem to listen when we tell them to stop growing. And check out how beautiful mom is, especially holding her littlest!

Thanks so much, Kerri and Bob! What a lovely afternoon in the park.

Family portrait session (Jessica, Rich, E, & C) – Winchester, MA

With all the change that is going on in the world, and especially here in the US, there are some things that never change: piles of leaves are always fun, the giggles between siblings are always genuine, and the look of love from a parent remains the same. Little sister was so little the last time I saw her. And now, she and her sister are full-fledged kiddos with beautiful spirits (not to mention amazing hair and eyes!). Big sister is as adorable as ever and seems to be ready to take on the world.

Jessica and Rich, thanks so much for a fun morning at your lovely home. These images of your family warm my heart!
